This is the kind of shit that just really gets to me and pisses me off. How can you support the gay and lesbian community but then not us? It’s not that difficult to go educate yourself on bisexuality and what it means, and it is really not that difficult to understand. This is not some crazy kinky thing that people choose to do. We’re not some crazy attention whores who are confused and don’t know what we want. Are there some people out there who are confused? Sure. Are there some annoying immature girls out there who just want attention? Sure. Are there bisexual people out there who are promiscuous and jump from one to the other constantly? There are. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to generalize and stereotype all bisexuals as one. You are pegging an entire community of people as something bad, and something not to be taken seriously or even considered “real”, based upon the few who give us a bad reputation.
Generalizing entire communities of people is wrong. Don’t sit there and think you know what kind of person I am because you once witnessed a couple 13 year old girls that claimed to be bi and made out with one another at a party. Those aren’t the faces of bisexuality and that kind of behavior certainly does not represent me or what it means to be bisexual. This is a STEREOTYPE. And it’s WRONG and should NEVER be used as some kind of evidence against why you do not support or accept an entire group/community of people.

No, that is not even enough, let me explain to you a thing. For one thing, some people will date someone of the same sex, and another of the opposite sex, and they don’t have to be so confused whether they are homosexual or not. Some people just don’t think about genitals, rather how much they love someone for being who they are and will choose soulmates that way, not caring about gender, instead only looking at someone’s heart.
Also, this erasure is INCREDIBLY DETRIMENTAL TO PEOPLE. What others fail to realize is that all of this biphobia and bi erasure has a deadly impact on bisexual people of all kind. It’s confusing enough developing feelings for peoples of more genders than just one, but add to the mix that there are disgraceful people, in the real word and as trolls on the internet, who are telling you that how you feel is imaginary or just for attention, and that’s obviously going to lead to major internal conflict. And social media, popular culture, and even GSM groups support these ideals. Is it any wonder why non-mono people are at the highest risk for suicide and depression? [I can’t find the link to my source but once I do I’ll add it]
Get New Leaf’s Best Buy DLC without leaving home
Best Buy has a set of exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf items you can grab via StreetPass if you visit the retailer’s locations. Not everyone has a Best Buy nearby (and not everyone wants to visit the store), though, so here’s a workaround posted by Link.
You’ll need to do some fiddling with your router:
- Change the SSID on your router to “Bestbuy” — this is case sensitive, so make sure it looks just like that without the quotes (you can also use tethering on your cell phone)
- Make sure you can connect to it via your wifi settings
- You should get an indicator on your 3DS homescreen signaling that you’re connected to a Nintendo Zone
- You do NOT need to load up Nintendo Zone; simply boot up New Leaf, go to the post office, and ask Pelly for your present to grab the DLC
